Collaboration
The FAAOC organises the International Craft Audiovisual Showcase each year, an event that encourages collaboration between audiovisual creators and craftspeople.
For the fifth edition, I collaborated with ceramic artist Gemma Tossuda to create an audiovisual piece reflecting on the cycle of life through ceramics. The work is based on the transformation of earth into an object and its return to the ground once broken, using this process as a metaphor for the passage of time and the ephemeral nature of existence.
The piece combines techniques including stop motion, rotoscopy, texture animation, and live-action footage. Through a colourful visual language and a dynamic rhythm, it creates a journey that celebrates creativity and the continuous transformation that takes place between birth and death.
